Eduardo Garcia-Godos

Eduardo Garcia-Godos is Senior Advisor, Trusted Trade Alliance and a Partner at Comercia Consulting, based in Lima, Peru. Qualified as a Peruvian lawyer, Eduardo's practice is focused on trade facilitation and customs in Peru and the Andean region, advising public regulatory bodies and private companies on trade-related procedures, process optimization, as well as customs matters. He was previously Trade Facilitation Component Leader of the USAID Projects Facilitando Comercio and Standards Alliance. He represented Peru in international trade agreements negotiations while an officer at the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (MINCETUR), and is past President of the Commission for Elimination of Bureaucratic Barriers at Peru's INDECOPI. In the private sector, he was member of law firms in the practice of international trade and corporate law.  Mr. Garcia-Godos is a lecturer in foreign trade in Peru and abroad, and has been a frequent speaker and panelist in international events related to trade facilitation.

Eduardo Garcia-Godos obtained his law degree from the Universidad Católica del Perú (1996), and his Master's degree on International Economic Law (LL.M. 2001) from the University of Warwick (UK), and has completed Post-graduate studies in Buenos Aires, Seoul and Geneva. He is fluent in Spanish and English.
